Osteoporosis

Osteoporosis affects as many as 3 million people in the UK, with one third of adult women likely to suffer from an osteoporotic fracture in their lifetime.

Respiratory problems

COPD is the overall term used to describe a variety of illnesses, including chronic bronchitis, emphysema and chronic obstructive airways disease.  People with COPD have breathing problems, including a shortness of breath, coughing and wheezing.

Alcohol SENSE

Guidelines recommend that women drink no more than 2 or 3 units a day and men no more than 3 or 4. But, when you consider that a large glass of wine can be as much as 3 units, exceeding these limits is easily done. In fact, over 10 million people in the UK regularly have one too many.

If patients feel that they're overdoing it and would like to cut down, we at Synexus are currently conducting the SENSE study, aimed at reducing cravings.

So, if patients are over 18 and would like to get involved we're asking them to get in touch with us.

Athletes Foot

Athlete’s Foot (tinea pedis) is a common infection on the skin, usually caused by a fungus. Anyone can become infected if they come into contact with tiny flakes of skin from an infected person. However, if untreated, the infection can spread.

Synexus is currently looking for participants in a clinical study of a new cream that may ease the symptoms of Athlete’s Foot.

Migraine

Migraine is the most common neurological condition in the developed world and affects 15 per cent of the UK population. Attacks can be disabling with common symptoms including a throbbing headache, sensitivity to light and sound (photophobia), nausea, vomiting and lethargy. There is no cure for migraine although research is being conducted into preventative treatments.

Synexus is currently looking for participants for a planned clinical study of Migraine.
